Hexmetals
Design
Hexmetal is a an unique honeycombed steel designed to provide
excellent retention and reinforcement of thin wall refractories and fully complements
dense hydraulic and chemically bonded refractories in resisting erosion.
Application
Process plant which is subject to the passage of erosive gas
streams, especially at high temperature, benefit by cladding with Hexmetal infilled with
erosion resistant refractories. Typical applications include Cyclones, Flue Gas Lines,
Reactor Vessels, Windboxes, Fan Casings, Burner Quarls: in fact any vessel or section that
is subject to erosion or abrasion.
Flexmetals
Design
Flexmetal is the direct counterpart of Hexmetal, it performs
all the same functions of reinforcement of thin wall refractory linings, its design
however allows freeform rolling to very small diameters.
Application
Hexmetal becomes impractical to use when the section of plant
being protected is of small diameter, the free rolling capabilities of Flexmetal allows
plant as small as 150mm to lined. Typical applications include Air Distributors, Cyclone
Diplegs, Fan Cases, all plant where the practicality of free rolling material is
beneficial to maintenance activities.
Armour-Anchors
Design
To meet industry demands, Causeway have developed a range of
independent Armour-Anchors, to be used in combination with Hexmetals / Flexmetals or as
stand alone systems, Causeway are licensed to manufacture the "S" Anchor and Curl Anchor systems
which forms part of its armour programme.
Application
For edge and corner protection on a lining, for small and
complex shapes and for small areas of repair within damaged linings where expansion is a
problem for sheet armours..
